Mamuka Alaphishvili
Creative biography
Mamuka Alaphishvili was born on January 10th, 1975 in Batumi.
In 1997 he finished Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory majoring in French horn (class of Boris Mukeria).
From 1993 to 1994 he worked in Zakaria Phaliashvili Tbilisi State Theatre of Opera and Ballet (artist in orchestra).
From 1993 to 1997 he worked in Evgeni MIkeladze State Symphonic Orchestra (artist in orchestra).
In 2000 he graduated Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory with the major in assistance in opera-symphonic conducting (lecturer: associated professor Zaza Azmaipharashvili).
Since 1999 is working in Batumi State Conservatory (associated professor).
From 1993 to 2004 he worked as an artist in Batumi Theatre of Opera and Ballet (artist in the orchestra).
Since 2004 is working as a conductor of the symphony orchestra in Batumi State Musical Center.
Since 2007 he worked as a conductor in the center of the art and culture of Batumi municipality.
In 2012 Mamuka Alaphishvili had a personal debut in Erbil (Iraq), where he was conducting the orchestra of Erbil.
Since 2013 is a conductor of Kutaisi Opera Theatre.
The repertoire of his orchestra includes several operas and symphonies:
Operas: Daisi by Zakaria Paliashvili, La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Maskagni, Lucia Di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti, Le Nozze di Figarro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, etc.
He has conducted the symphonies of Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, and Schumann.
